Someone sent in a load of flicks a while back featuring a load of older Edinburgh stuff. Somehow I moved the folder and thought i had lost all the flicks. Anyway ive found it again. These flix were in amongst it. From what i can see they are from 2001(?).

Up Yer Aerosol!

Couple of little things from the archives, relating to the Under Pressure Jammies & one from The "Asphalt" nights in Dundee.
The one above is for an exhibition a bunch of us were in around 96 in Edinburgh,
( I remember doing a perspex & wood painting for it but cant remember the actual show?)
Eez or Mie's memories may be a bit clearer than mine regarding these!

An article advertising the Under Pressure Jam from the Big Issue.
I think this is how I found out the Jam was on and just went without a clue where I was staying or where Livi actually was.

A cover of the Young Scot Magazine.
(I did have the Face Issue but looks like it is lost in the midst of time.)
I also have a typed transcript of the Phase 2/ Vulcan talk in Livingston thats pretty essential reading called "A Schooling in Livingston"

Lastly one of my favourite flicks of the era (Early 90's) featuring a well known Scottish Head.
(Hopefully he doesn't mind me posting this, blurred it in case)
This photo taken totally by chance, with a shitty camera & for me sums up the energy & the spirit of the time.

Everything seemed possible, nights like this at the Tay Hotel in Dundee, (which really was on its last legs by then) were amazing & hilarious. Inspired by the Under Pressure shindigs.
Pulled together with zero budget, just a willingness to rock!

Under Pressure makes the front page

Front page of the Guardian from 94 promoting the Under Pressure event in Livingston. Hopefully, this kinda puts some sort of perspective of what Eez achieved at that time. Lets face it, if similar events were to be held in Scotland today they probably wouldnt make the front page of a national newspaper.

Drylaw Oldies

Click here for the extra large version
-
Another old sesh from Drylaw, with Epik, Bern, Pois, Derm, Mie and Elph.
This wall has a definite Hycote outline/Carplan fill vibe about it, but with the added extra of the very first prototype Montana cans that Mie had brought back from Spain
-
Again, apologies for the joiner quality, but it's over 14 years old from the shoebox of terror.

VK MSC Drylaw 95

First off, sorry for the picture quality, but it's from the shoebox of doom.
I'm unsure if this was after a night at SEEN, possibly not, as it was actually completed! The Dolby piece is a topper, on ZX Spectrum type shantizzle.
The tunnels were only starting to get painted around that time, you can still see some of the old menchies at the top of the wall, the guy who wrote the DODE one was a gluesniffer who was later beaten to death after he won some money on the horses, bonus. The TAM menchie above the MIE piece is styling.
-
Obviously because I'm so hiphop I did a bunch of bboy characters...

MSC FAP 90's

Long time no post!
Found some oldies that I don't think have been on here before.
-
The wall below is ELPH/ MIE/ ONEMOR/ FAP(DERM), painted at the London Road Spot 'The Yard' in 1995, I think I actually tacked my piece on the end, Pretty bad yin, dunno what that style was about!

The piece below is in Corstorphine in about 96/97 emulsion fills and background with Hycote Tractor paint Red outlines, it was really cheap and could cover chrome, but smelt like death. Check the masking tape.

Been rooting in the archives and have a giant joiner of an early Dundee/Edinburgh Drylaw jam that has some great pieces, including a topper from Dolby.
